Bonding Tile to Hard to Bond Surfaces

This project uses the Kerabond / Keralasticsystem, a flexible two part mortar system designed for hard-to-bond-to stone, porcelain and glass tile. It offers exceptional bond strength, flexural strength, elongation and freeze/thaw durability.

Coat area with Kerabond / Keralastic using the flat side of the trowel or puddy knife.

Allow to dry for at least 3 hours. Overnight is better.

Set tile with Kerabond/Keralastic effectively bonding wet mortar to the dry mortar. Lightly clean the excess mortar and allow to dry overnite.

The mortar's elasticity allows for easy clean up the next day. Cut mortar out of the grout joints with utility knife in preperation for grouting.

	If you don't let a coating of mortar to dry first, the A-106 quarter round will delaminate (split into layers).

installations in freeze/thaw environments and submerged conditions
