Tile Learning CenterButt Joint Installation | ||
|
The real reason I removed the old formica top and cabinet is because it interfered with playing pool. So I chose the most unlikely material to butt joint. ![]() I plan on coating the brick with a clear, shiny sealer, very cleanable. then grout then seal again. Pictures of the sealing and grouting will follow ![]() The edges of the top are straight and the imperfections in brick size and shape show in the middle. ![]() On this side I had to cut the bricks down to about 3/4 for wood transition. ![]() It may be the most irregular brick but with a little time you can have a flat and rustic looking top. ![]() |
